Dear Classmates: Not sure how to say this because this is the 3rd classmate to pass away since Easter Sunday. Linda Elliott passed away last evening. For those who attended the 40th reunion, we were all lucky to see Linda one more time. She seemed be in very good spirits even though she was fighting cancer. It is starting to get difficult to post these as often as I do. Don, Skip, Linda and all the others were far too young to leave us this soon. May Linda RIP.

For those classmates and any of your family members that have served in the Military. Thank you for your service. We live the lives we do because of you. Happy Memorial Day.

Dear Classmates and Faculty:
As Cathy Iatonna always says, WhoooooooooooHooooooooooo!!!
For those who attended the Saturday night dinner and for those that did two nights, three nights and the four crazy people that did all four nights, Vic, Cathy and Dee cannot thank you all enough. We want to thank each and everyone of you that attended. It was a team effort on the part of everyone that participated whether you helped with the event or just showed up to have fun. Each classmate added their special magic to make this reunion weekend a time none of us will ever forget. Each of you were a very important part of the success of this reunion.
During each night, one or more of you told a story that made someone laugh, in some cases we laughed until we cried or until our stomachs hurt. Those are special moments that we will all cherish for years to come. (Please add your favorite stories on the Message Board section 40th Reunion Feedback on the cousino1970.com website.
With the Internet now, and a wonderful result of the reunion is that classmates are now planning on staying in touch and reconnecting from time to time....which is G-R-E-A-T! I have already heard that Pat Abbott, Chuck O'Connor, Rich Hayes and Pat Tolystyka have plans to play golf. (Just don’t let Rich keep score). Connie Lessnau is organizing a coffee night out for all the girls that still live in the area. The AZ contingency (Cathy, Gloria, Debbie, Linda & Ralph and anyone else in the area) are planning to get together soon, before the aftergow wears off. The reunion even started a new love affair between Ruth Marcum and Chuck Ballard.
I was asked by many to plan our 45th and 50th reunion. Not sure about that one. Five and Ten years are too far away for me to consider that opportunity. That said, I did come up with an idea for a Class of 1970 - 60th Birthday Party to held sometime in 2012. Not sure about the rest of you, but I could not find a better group of people to share my birthday with. When someone asked what I got for my 60th birthday, how many people can say they got a Sorise, a Meriggi, a Slowik, a Cooke, a Stellino, a Pinto, a Hayes, a Matro, a Werner, a Emelian, a Iatonna, a Fortucci, a Fields, a Grombala, a Beckman, a Pizzo etc., for their birthday (I love you all but I could only mention a few).
Also, checkout the section called Get Together 2011. We would like all your feedback on this idea.
I did want to mention that Nancy Evans is working very hard organizing all the pictures taken at this event. There are probably over 2,000 photographs and Nancy is trying to do this while she does her real job. I expect by August 15th most of the pictures will be available for everyone to see. There are already plenty of pictures up in the Photo Gallery and the sections named, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Finally, we did have a few other things planned for the reunion but once all of you got together on Saturday night you were having so much fun talking, you guys were uncontrollable. I guess being in the moment is a good thing. So, other agenda items, like special group photos and such just didn't seem that important. You were all having so much fun and that was what this event was all about.
What was and has always been very important to me throughout this process is remembering those classmates that could not join us during our 40th reunion. As I stated earlier, it was hard getting everyone’s attention once you all got together. Now that I have your attention, I want to remind each and everyone of you how lucky we were to share time together once again after 40 years. The following classmates I am sure would have liked to be there as well. Let us never forget Dan Sites, Al York, Bob Gee, Brent Meader, Carol Murray, Denise Gugala, Greg Bedner, Jim Cuillo, Mark Green, Rick Yax, Susan Coraci, Tom Hayden, Brent Francis, Bob Welper, Brian Eckhardt, Debra Rice, Don Guzowski, Jackie Virga, John Lehman, Patricia Connally, Sharon Messina, and Tim Steffin.
Remember, we are not going to send weekly emails out to everyone. It is up to each and everyone of you to check the Class of 70 website for news and updates on the upcoming Class of 1970 - 60th Birthday Party and the Get Together 2011.
Once again, THANK YOU so very much for making our 40th reunion a very special time in our lives and for all those that attended the event.
Your committee, Cathy, Dee and Vic.

Please go to the Photo Gallery and the sections marked Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for more pictures of all the events. We should have most of the pictures ready for everyone to see by 8/15 and maybe sooner. There are over 2,000 of them and Nancy Evans is working on getting them on the Internet as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
